About us

Wire innovations is a SME that offers costumized solutions for the wire drawing industry. We also market two in-line process monitoring systems that can be used both for monitoring and process optimization.

Services

WiSE

WiSE (Wire Survelliance System) is an in-line process monitoring system that is mounted directly on the soapbox. WiSE monitors the wire surface, temperature and tool vibrations and can be used for in-line process control and optimization.

WiFT

The WiFT (Wire Force Temperature) sensor monitors the drawing force and temperature of the drawing die in-line. The sensor is avaliable in many versions to be retrofitted to almost any wire drawing line with no adaptations needed. Monitoring the force required to draw the wire can be used both for process control and optimization.

WiSE

The WiSE sensor is avaliable in two sizes

Standard

Width x Length x Height – 29 x 82 x 82 mm
Hole diameter – 16 mm

XL

Width x Length x Height – 29 x 108 x 108 mm
Hole diameter – 39 mm

More information about WiSE can be found on it datasheet

WiFT

WiFT comes in various versions to fit many different drawing machines but there are two major versions: The nut version and the drawing die version.

WiFT measures the drawing force exerted to draw the wire and the temperature of the drawing die.

It can be mounted as a stand alone sensor or together with a WiSE system. In either case it is connected to a WiSE server that collects, analyzes and visualise the data.

There are several versions of this sensor avaliable. Reach out to us with your requirements, if we do not have something for you already we might be interested in developing something!

Why should we care about the drawing force?

Good question!

The drawing force is one of the most powerful metrics that you can collect from your process. The drawing force can give information about both the resulting characteristics of your wire as well as the drawing process itself.

For example. Given the same deformation and drawing speed, a force increase can indicate higher friction in the tool. This might cause damage to both the tool and the wire.

Logging of the drawing force for your products can be a powerful tool for your quality department.
